A place to list NC indoor gyms is great and many states on MP have a page dedicated to listing specific gyms with photos, website links, directions, phone number and basic info. Routes and grades in climbing gyms are ever changing (I hope so anyway) so, seconding Steve, let’s just keep it as a quick list and helpful representation of places for us all to train and climb indoors. This is a public site though, not really a spot to make such a system that only you will use IMO. This is a good opportunity to go old school and just keep track of your performance after each session on a calendar or datebook so it's easy to take to the gym and use whenever you need. If you're more of the plugged in type, you can keep a simple excel spreadsheet or the calendar feature on your phone. I just don't think MP's intent/function is to be a place to keep track of your training in the gym, as much as its a community and online guidebook of sorts. Just my 2 pennies Jan 6, 2017
Thanks for the feedback. If you truly think that this will detract from your experience on MountainProject, then I can remove this. Or, you can. Before we do that though, I'll explain what I was going for with this:

I am interested in tracking how well my training translates into outdoor success. It occurred to me that I could utilize MountianProject as a mechanism to do this by creating an area to log my indoor activities. In this example, I have only added one route to the gym, but my thought is that you could build out a bouldering area, toprope area, lead area, and a training area. In each area, you can have generic routes at each grade that you can tick. In the training area, you could have items like hangbourd, campusing, core, etc. In this way you can easily track both your training and outdoor climbing in one place. Jan 6, 2017

I'm fine with doing something similar to what Virginia did: mountainproject.com/v/-clim… that is just a resource for finding gyms, but listing problems that are in the gym is taking it too far. Jan 6, 2017
