Description

Sit start with your hands on the obvious arete the (same start as for Hop Scotch). Move up to the left sidepull to gain both aretes. A committing move to a lefthand crimp followed by another committing move to the jug on the right gets you access to the top.

Location

This is between Leap Frog and Hop Scotch.

Protection

A pad & spotter. Falls tend to be further towards the right than expected.

If anyone's climbed this before / knows the first ascent, I'd love to know.

I got the standing start (directly onto the sidepull + right arete), but Aaronson Chew beat me to the sit start. Getting the left heel hook makes all the difference. Nov 12, 2016

Hey, I climbed this today and was going to post it here, but looks like you beat me to it by a day. Love the climb for the awesome kneebars that make the middle section easier. Getting the heel hook to match the top hold was definitely the crux. I thought it went at V3 as well! Nov 13, 2016

Haha damn! We must have just missed you. We were down at The Cove this morning until about 11am. Let me know if you're in the area, I'm hoping to make a full tour of the Hemlock Pool Boulders in the next couple of weeks. Nov 13, 2016

Haha bad, timing then - I think I got there at like 11am. I'm in the Cambridge area too. If you decide to do that tour, send me a message. I would be down. Nov 14, 2016

Have you guys been over to the Quarry Road area or Slanted Boulder? Some of the best stuff in the fells is at those places. Highway Cliff, Theta, Panther Cave/Red Cross Path area. Lots of good stuff. Nov 17, 2016

I was over at Theta Boulder back in April and really enjoyed it. Endymion is a really fun problem, thanks for putting it up, Tim! I'll likely be over at the Highway Cliff area around Thanksgiving if the weather holds. Nov 18, 2016
Excited that the Fells are getting some more traffic. We'll have to check out some of those area. There are some great routes out there. Hope to see you out there this winter. Nov 22, 2016
