Description

Outlook Rock, West. Unmistakable line, following an incipient crack up the middle of the face above a square cut overhang. Disused, once a favorite of 1980's climbers looking to escape crowds, now a bit lichenous. But a nice place down on the river.

Using the left edge is a 5.8 version called The Nose That Goes. As the author mentioned, the rock is lichenous, so much so that I found the 5.8 more like 5.10 and really struggled with my feet. Very disappointing, as this face is beautiful and the climbing looks really good. Dec 9, 2017
