Description

The bolted blunt arete across the gully from the rap route on the Tower.

Inobvious and awkward moves up a corner using dirty cracks and through a brief chimney lead to a great sequence up the balancey arete passing some bolts to a chain anchor. Fun, worth checking out, but nowhere near as classic as other routes on the Tower.

Location

Either climb/solo the first pitch of the guide route, or rap off of the summit of the Tower to the huge grassy ledge. Cross (carefully, esp. if parties are below) the gully to a small flat section below the corner start.

Protection

A couple pieces to 2" for the beginning, 4 bolts up high, chains.
