Access Issue: RAIN, WET ROCK and RAPTOR CLOSURES: The sandstone around Moab is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Also please ask and be aware of Raptor Closures in areas such as CAT WALL and RESERVOIR WALL in Indian Creek
Details
WET ROCK: Holds rip off and climbs have been and will continue to be permanently damaged due to climbers not respecting this phenomenon. After a heavy storm the rock will remain wet, sometimes for several days. PLEASE DO NOT CLIMB IN MOAB during or after rain.
RAPTOR CLOSURES: please be aware of seasonal raptor closures. They occur annually in the spring.
Description
Great climb that doesn't see much traffic. Perfect splitter for ~150 feet.
Location
Technically on the boundary wall, drive a mile past the park sign and it's on your left.
Protection
Double rack plus a couple extra red camalots.
There's a ledge halfway and the moves off the ledge are thumbtacks in a shallow corner. It quickly opens to thin hands but you want to be solid here since the ledge is right there. Anchor needs new webbing - we forgot to bring some up with us.
A good option on the way out/in if you're in a hurry and don't have time for something bigger but it's kind of a grueling hike up loose talus to get there. Also, the hike starts about 200 yards north of the boundary sign. Oct 27, 2016
