Description

This extension, despite only one star in the guide, is pretty fun and well worth doing. It would probably get three stars if the anchors were a little lower and you didn't have to climp the incredibly polished and sandbagged first half.

From the anchors of Purple and Green, tech your way up continuously thin climbing on sidepulls and a few bad feet. The line wanders a bit to take advantage of the better holds on the wall. After getting through the crux, climb another 15 feet of 5.10 low angle lichen climbing.

This climb reminded me a lot of Ten Sleep. So if you like this style, then this is worth checking out.

Location

This is an extension of Purple & Green.

Protection

10? bolts total to fixed anchors.  There are about 5 on the extension itself. The anchors twist your rope if you clip both of them, so maybe bring an extra quicklink to extend the left one.

[Hide Comment] I think it was only 5 bolts to the anchors, and yes, the left locker really twists the rope, so bring a quicklink if you can. I agree with the description except that, the friction was decent compared to most Rifle climbs. The more this gets climbed, the harder it will be due to chalk/grease/rubber polishing. There was no chalk at all when I did it, which added to the beta challenge, but allowed for better friction. Jun 12, 2018
