Access Issue: Box Canyon is privately owned.
Details
The land at the mouth of Maple Canyon as well as along the road before the Forest Service sign is private property.
The landowners have asked that if you want to park or stay the night on their property that you give a donation of $8/night and $3/day. There are donation boxes.
You can also call to reserve a spot on the private property at 435.851.1486.
Please respect this private property and use the restrooms in the upper canyon for now. Note that car camping in day use parking spots is NOT allowed in the upper canyon on the Forest Service property.
Be respectful, no dogs, and leave the canyon when nature calls.

Description
This route can be done in a number of ways.
1. Climb it in one long pitch, lower to the mid anchors, thread the rope and lower to the ground. (This is the proudest version)
2. Climb to the ledge and belay off the anchors on the ledge. Climb the second pitch to the top and lower back to the ledge. This involves throwing a line to the climber and hauling them in from space back to the ledge. Then rapping to the ground from the ledge when finished. This version keeps the belayer out of the bombing zone from the upper part of the route.
3. Climb to the mid anchors and set up belay.(hanging belay). Climb the second pitch and lower back to the mid anchors. Then rap to the ground. (This seems the least appealing)
4. Climb to the mid anchors, call it good and lower to the ground. (11a to mid anchors)
