Easy sand hike to the summit ridge, then some Class 2 scrambling to the Class 3 summit pinnacle.

Climb the pinnacle on the west side - there's a short dihedral with large ledges.

Turn right at Kearsarge Pass, can be climbed in a day from Onion Valley.

None - easy solo.

The Class 3 summit tower with crux move at the tippy-top make for a great finish, distinguishing this otherwise Class 2 slog-up mountain from others. The scramble to top of tower is not hard. Roughly 13 miles round trip and about 4000 vertical feet from Onion Valley trailhead. Excellent views all the way up the south ridge and from top. Aug 22, 2017
