Access Issue: Keeping climbs open depends on maintaining good relationships with locals and monks
Details
This climbing area is intertwined with monasteries and pagodas. It is critical for climbing in Myanmar to maintain these relationships through respectful conduct with the monks and the surrounding areas. Please be modest, respectful, friendly, and responsive to the wishes of the monks and local people. Do not climb on religious monuments, and remove shoes when crossing over established pagoda areas.
Description
Fantastic route on beautiful white limestone. Starts with some long pulls on jug pockets to a moderate rest at a jug ledge. Move into the hard crux using a ridiculous, shouldery two finger gaston and a mono, hang on through a few more hard moves on edges and pockets up to the ledge, and finish with easier climbing including and an engaging and juggy stroll to the chains. At the time it was sent it was the hardest route in Myanmar and the first 5.13, now it is overshadowed by its immediate neighbor Brewing Brutality. Make sure to warm up your tendons. And if you send it, make sure to comment your opinion on the grade.
