Millipede Arete

5.5, TR, 35 ft (11 m),  Avg: 1.5 from 2 votes
FA: unknown
Connecticut > Eastern Highlands > Ross Rocks > 1. Parking Lot Wall

Description

Climb the lower-angled arete. A slight bulge about 15' off the deck is the crux (with some slopers). Stay to the left of the "L" tree growing out of the corner crack. Avoid the tree during the dirty top out.

Another route likely free soloed on a dare in the late 1800s - FA unknown. One of the easiest routes up this section of the wall. Be careful of your top rope position - a fall will result in a swing back (i.e., slam) into the corner.

Location

The obvious lower-angled arete on the left end of the Parking Lot Wall.

Protection

Top rope.
