Description

Stick clip. Stand on your toes to reach the starting holds on the arete. Pull onto the left wall and climb past several horizontals to a deep hand-sized horizontal crack. Go up the face staying just left of the arete. At the top, swing right around the arete to better holds on a slab, then reach left to a fixed anchor.

Location

Locate The Crime Scene -- a sheer, 60'-tall wall that overhangs 10 degrees. The route is located on the right side on a boulder pile below an overhanging arete. The arete is formed by two overhanging walls.

With the broken holds, it's a tiny bit harder. Still goes and plenty of fun. Oct 5, 2017

Another great route, with steep jug hauling to a brief but stout crux sequence. Like many of the routes here, it still seems to be shedding the occasional loose hold. When I got on it, it felt rather soft for the grade, but then a friend peeled off part of a useful hold and subsequent climbers reported it feeling significantly harder now. All in all, an excellent route, unusual in the Adirondacks for its steep climbing on big holds. Sep 18, 2017
