Once at the base the route is obvious or not. I.e. chose the route of your choice there are several variations. The are no cracks on the route. The route starts out gentle and gets steep towards the top. Though there are rocks bands they do not seem to cleave off so not much in terms of objective danger. The route leads to the summit of the Pinnacle. It is an easy stroll over to main summit.

For the descent use the West Ridge which in itself is pretty cool with some easy but exposed sections. Look for goats.

Approach via the Riley Trailhead. The trailhead is not immediately obvious from the road. Look for a small pull out on the west side of the road and more recently a sign on the uphill side next the trail.

At the first junction do not take the Riley Cut-Off to the PCT as that goes south. During early season the trail will be snow covered so map and compass/GPS are a good idea.

Single technical ice axe, and if climbing roped a couple of pickets.
