Just right of the bulging black south face of the base/skirt of Trapper Dome is a right trending ramp. Step up on the ramp to access crimps in the crease below a flake/crack feature near the top of the wall. Once established on the face work up a series of three left trending ramps while meandering left and right to connect features on the face. Ramps, incut edges, sidepulls, crimps, flakes, and an undercling lead to the aforementioned crack/flake feature. Work up the crack or "walk the plank" to a final mantle at the top. Deservedly popular due to the moderate grade, excellent protection, fun movement, and short approach, Zyzzyx received 33 TR ascents and 4 leads in its first 24 hrs.

Forty feet right of Eight Thousand Foot Headrush. Directly below the giant pine tree at the top of the slab at the PLAYGROUND (Upper Tier). Zyzzyx is in the middle of the south face at the base of Trapper Dome.

6 bolts & Fixe ring anchor.

Fun route! Last move is the crux, which is well protected.
