DNR wants to pass on a friendly reminder to display your Discover Pass, not block any gates, and park well off the road to prevent getting ticketed or towed. Do not park directly across from mile marker 33 as stated in the guidebook. Just west of the mile marker is a better parking spot which lends to afternoon shade and only adds a few dozen meters of approach. There are private property signs but the land owners in the area expressed concern only with illegal activity and messes; pack out what you pack in and try to leave no trace.
