Description

A truly unique route deserving of more traffic, Mr Hanky The Christmas Poo: Indirect, features a wild 20ft ledge traverse across pantina-featured slopers. This line felt impossibly confusing and blank until learning the holds and finding the ample rests.

Location

Mr Hanky The Christmas Poo, Indirect

is found at the lower, right side of the crag. You Bastards is to the left and a bit uphill; Mr Hanky The Christmas Poo: Direct is immediately to the right.

Protection

Approximately 10 bolts to chain anchors. The route crosses Mr Hanky The Christmas Poo: Direct and Scuzzlebutt to finish on the anchors of Kick in the Nuts. Due to the significant traverse this route cannot easily be cleaned on lower; it is best cleaned by a follower.

[Hide Comment] The book is wrong. The first anchors is the end of the route. The second chains extension is in the 12s and has a bunch of glue holds. May 19, 2018

[Hide Comment] The route description here on Mountain Project is correct. Don't stop traversing at the anchors for Mr Hanky Direct -- go all the way to Kick In The Nuts. This route is super cool.

[Hide Comment] The anchors, which I believe Ravi is referencing, are the first anchors for Mr. Hanky Direct. Those anchors are there for two reasons: the route gets significantly harder (5.11b -> 5.12b) and everything below those anchors stays dry in rain.

You can certainly make up variations but that is my understanding from experience and past conversations with Scott. Hope that clarifies. May 27, 2018
