This problem ascends the left boulder of the Squirming Coil Area. Start matched on a right-leaning sidepull and with feet on the low angle slab to the left. Move to the diagonal crack, and traverse right along the crack until you can top out. The topout is the same as for The Bearded Lady aka Hand Crack, V1.

This is the same as Contrivance, V4, but everything is on and usable. This has been added so that this version of the climb can be ticked, and enjoyed in its own right.

This problem is listed in Colorado Bouldering Front Range by Phillip Benningfield and Matt Samet under the same name and grade as what is provided on this problem.

This problem is on the left of the two large boulders that make up the Squirming Coil Area and starts the same as Contrivance and ends same as The Bearded Lady aka Hand Crack, V1.

A crashpad is sufficient. The landing is flat and safe.
