Description

Start about 10 feet left of Chasm Crack on two low slopers. There is a little crimp on the arete for you to use. Make a couple moves up the arete and figure out how to get into the finish of Chasm Crack

Location

Starts to the left of the obvious crack climb in the chasm...

Protection

Traverses into the top of Chasm Crack so a few pads and a spotter.

Got on a couple climbs in this area yesterday and saw in the guidebook a 4 acorn double black diamond route. So of course I had to find it. Guidebook is pretty unclear on where it starts exactly so if anyone has any info about this route please share. A much lower start is possible and probably way harder than where I started. That looks about right to me, Troy. Agreed that starting lower than that is much harder.

You should check out the 'Arete Of Death'. It's only like 3-5 minutes away from the Chasm area. It's an old Dave Graham problem. May 24, 2016

I thought this climb flowed really well from the start you chose, Troy. Starting lower on the arete would be inobvious (as there aren't any clear and defined 'holds' anywhere). Really cool movement. I kind of like this line better than any of the other lines on this wall. Oct 9, 2016
