Description

Ultra-classic on an area of Main Wall that has a ton of lines. Refer to the guidebook (available from mountain club of kenya) for more specific descriptions.

1. Start on the pillar with tons of holds and move up through hard moves past a roof, continue to belay on right.

2. Traverse left on poor rock and awkward bulges to a belay below steep corner crack.

3. Move back right and mantle through a bulge, continue to belay above.

4. Find your way to the top through broken rock.

Location

Start is on an obvious detached pillar covered in holds.

Protection

Standard rack + micronuts.

Photos

In the interest of history, I made the first ascent of Juggernaut with South African (later Canadian) David Cheesmond in 1974.
