Sit start on a good left pinch and a bomber right. make a crunchy burly throw to a good but slippery left hand. Bring the right foot up on the sandy ball until you can reach the decent right crimp. Then get a better hand to shake out. Now begin your way up the dark colored part of the wall using techy feet and different crimps. You'll come to a dead point and reach for a slopey rail (crux) then mantle up.


As you come through the trailhead and come around the corner of the first Boulder go right and jump over the boulders split in two by the demolition. The Snail Boulder is directly facing you once you jump over the gap. Looks like a dark snail shell. Hence the name
