Description Suggest change

This is a great route for new ice climbers. It has a simple approach and consist of a left and right part. The right part is 1-2m steps of thick, solid ice that offers good stances for placing protection, yet tall enough steps to practice good axe placement and crampon use. The left part has a large, thick icicle that offers a 4m vertical climb. Either way you will end up on a relative flat top where you can set a decent anchor in trees.

Location Suggest change

The route is just south of the village of Skau, at Kløkstad. You can park at the abandoned white community house 300m S of the Kløkstad small boat harbour. From there, walk E for 400 m and follow the small creek into the crevasse towards the NE.

Protection Suggest change

5 or 6 ice screws will have you sorted here. No fixed installation.
