Mad Gab

V-easy, Boulder, 15 ft (5 m),  Avg: 1 from 2 votes
FA: Tim Hoffman and Ben Comin
Pennsylvania > Southwestern Hi… > Beam Rocks > Beam Rocks, Bouldering

Description

Stand start on the round knob at foot level and move up into pockets while matching hands on the palm smear at head height or a little higher (I'm tall so it might be a little above your head if you're of average height). There are two really great hidden plate holds that are super fun to find so I won't spray beta. You'll just have to search to find them. Pull on the plates until you top out in the moss.

Location

To the left of You Must Find a Shrubbery.

Protection

Spotter and pad. The down climb is pretty gnarly and involves hopping across a crack between boulders at the back of the problem and then sliding/surfing down this wet tree trunk to pass between boulders back to the front of the problem. The downclimb was way more dangerous than the actual boulder problem.
