Description

This pitch was established in hopes to increase the amount of moderate climbs available for the people who just might not be at the 5.11 heaven level. The top is steep and fun. Keep your eyes out for the jugs. Be aware that the route climbs through a chossy black band of rock. This detracts from the overall quality of the pitch.

Location

The first route you encounter at the main wall.

Protection

The first bolt is a little high and if this grade is within your limits you will be fine getting to that first bolt, otherwise use a stick clip or plug a #1-2 sized Camalot in the crack at the start.

A worthy addition to the Main Wall, thanks for bolting this one! It'll be nice to have a warm up easier than Valentine's Arete. Technical edges down low, big jugs in the middle, and a surprisingly tough steep section up top. Make sure you wear your helmets, as there is still a fair amount of cleaning up to do (I didn't see any death blocks, but did knock off quite a few finger sized chunks). Dec 4, 2016

I climbed the entire thing on gear (starting with the left crack) and it seemed pretty safe. If you get sketched out, just clip a bolt. Feb 25, 2018
