[Hide Comment] Here's hoping that Mikey Cooter Headbanger leads a long one.

Reminds me of the Quin Konehead Prememorial route in Darrington. It was put up in ~1980 in 'prememorial' of Quin Koenig, who could climb 'up to 5.9' and soloed 5.9. But Quin is still around ~35 years later, though apparently got out of the soloing habit after one near-miss. Apr 15, 2016

[Hide Comment] I'm pretty sure Mikey Cooter put a big ole gash in his head on the first ascent, thus the name. Jul 25, 2019

[Hide Comment] Stiff for a 5.8. Compared to Get a Handle on It, it feels much easier, and the holds are more pointy and more grippy, but it is still sandy. One of my preferred warm-up routes for the wall. Sep 12, 2020
[Hide Comment] Fossil is correct. Mikey took a rock to the head and I used a shirt to cover the gash until the ER visit. I got the FA with Mikey stitched up and bitching the next day. Miss Mikey and those days! Another route that was originally drilled holes with baby angles as pro. Jun 1, 2021
