Master of Puppets

5.10c, Sport, 105 ft,  Avg: 2.8 from 13 votes
FA: Dave McRae and Tyler Tanhoff 2/2016
Oregon > Central Oregon > Smith Rock > (m) Smith Rock… > (1) Northeast Face

Use the corner crack to get to the first bolt. After clipping the second bolt, it's sustained action on nubbins and pockets all the way to the anchors at 105 ft. Crux hits around the 10th bolt. Like the other routes on this wall, it's currently a little crumbly and lichen covered. It will improve with time, but tread lightly.

"End of passion play, crumbling away
Veins that pump with fear
Leading on your deaths' construction
Taste me you will see
More is all you need
Obey your Master"
-Metallica, Master of Puppets

Starts in a right facing corner crack then quickly moves on to the face to the right. Right of King Nothing and left of Lepper Messiah.

12 bolts to chain anchors with steel 'biners. 105 ft. 70 meter rope recommended.
