Access Issue: Bridges Out! IMPORTANT LADWP NEGOTIATIONS!! Details

Description

A very easy but surprisingly fun climb on great quality rock.
Climb a slabby face with ledges and shallow eyebrows to a short, steep face followed by easy pockets to the anchor.
Long draws recommended for the anchor to reduce rope drag if you are TRing.

Location

Located on the separate river-side formation left and downhill from Natural Lite. Make an immediate left off the river crossing.

Protection

5 bolts. Mussy hooks.

Fraggle Rock is right off the Lower Gorge road and the kid/pet-friendly crossing to Pink Wall. It has most of the elements of the ORG found in the more difficult climbs: sloping edges, fun incuts - and finishes with easy eyebrows to the anchors.

A great introduction to the type of climbing found in the gorge for the beginning climber, non-climbing friend or family outing with the youngsters. Apr 5, 2016

Great route. Thanks for putting in the time and thoughtfulness for this route. We need more like this both for the very young and the old. One quibble about the grade: it probably goes at 5.8-5.9 for a four-year old. Kinda reachy. May 12, 2018

Very funny, Bruce. Wait...now I feel bad for sand-bagging a 4-year-old! Oct 29, 2018
