Description

This is the first pitch of Dani Andrada's RimRim in the Lazy Dragon Cave I haven't climbed the second pitch so only info for the first is given here

Delicate, thin climbing on dark rock at the start gives way to slightly easier climbing on beautiful Getu white/gray limestone.

Location

The climb begins on the large (15-20ft) boulder at the base of the right end of the cave. Solo up this boulder and try not to get your shoes wet! If you're 5'9" you can clip the first bolt by standing on your tiptoes, otherwise this section could definitely be PG13/R, since the first moves are quite committing and the first bolt is probably 25 feet off the ground

LAZY DRAGON CAVE APPROACH BETA: This is the main reason I thought it was worth putting this route up on mountain project. The petzl guidebook says the approach is 5 minutes but it took my friend and me almost an hour to actually get there!

From the main road you can see the lazy dragon cave across the river. Just past an old hotel there is a dirt trail that leads down closer to the river bank. The only way we were able to cross the river was to simply wade through at a shallow point (water up to low knees in August '15). As far as we could tell there was no other way to access the right side of the cave (and the left side routes seem completely inaccessible/overgrown)
