Northwest Arete

V3 PG13, Boulder, 12 ft (4 m),  Avg: 1.9 from 9 votes
FA: unknown
Colorado > Colorado Springs > Mt Herman > Main Boulder

Description

I climbed this arete, but it already had tons of chalk on it (FAist?). It was fun,and has a fun bump with the right hand before the top. There is a big rock at the base of the opposing wall. Make sure your pad covers it, as I almost had a nasty encounter with it. Going up the arete I generally kept my body weight on the right foot and side of the arete.

Location

It is on the north side of the big split in the main boulder.

Protection

A pad and a spotter would help you keep from getting to close to the opposing wall.
