Description

Start as for Wizard's Sleeve, clipping 3 bolts up the stembox. Instead of moving left at the roof, place gear and pull the roof directly. Finish at the Kip to a Handstand anchors.

This route was originally a top rope route, but became a safe mixed lead with the addition of the Wizard's Sleeve bolts.

Protection

5 bolts to chains

[Hide Comment] This is a stemming route that gets your feet about as wide as they'll go. You don't use much arms except for the small roof at the end. Apr 27, 2016

[Hide Comment] Zach, this route is called Wizard's Sleeve. I've already got it posted on MP. They're the same line for all but the last few feet; it basically just got renamed when the lead bolts and anchor appeared. Apr 2, 2017

[Hide Comment] So I liked the route quite a lot- but I really don't enjoy the lower. Huge amount of rope drag as the anchors are tucked such that the rope rubs right on a relatively sharp edge. To make it sketchier, both strands want to slip into the crack thats just to the high left of the ceiling and it literally can get stuck in there. Not a fun lowering experience. Loved the climb tho- next time I might climb up, pull the rope and rappel off a nearby anchor to the ground. Apr 24, 2025
