Access Issue: Please refrain from scratching directions to popular problems into rocks! Details
I realize that many boulder problems are hard to find here, but all of Columbia's bouldering is on the campus of the college or in the state park. It hurts our case for access if any graffiti can be linked to climbers. Recently, I found that climbers had etched arrows into Lance's Arete pointing to Cellar Door and Dan's Cave. This can't happen here without risking closure (or as one of the faculty puts it, ";there won't be any more spongebobs on the weekends";).
Sit start (or just start low if you're short) with a large right hand undercling and a left hand around the arete. Work your way up, then right, topping out at the notch. Downclimb the back side for the descent.
After leaving the stage coach road to go to the Labyrinth, you pass two sink holes and go left to The Cave Route, turn right instead and go out into the open field. In the back right of that field, you'll see a 30 ft boulder through the trees, just passed the edge of the trail.
