Private property all along the old access road. Access from Rocky Run ATV trail is all on NF land. Details

Description

This route was listed as unclimbed on climbing.com so I went up and found it a bit crimpier than a v0.

Start on the far side of the satellite boulder, past the roof to the left. Start matched in a pocket (it is usually spray painted green) and make your way up to some small crimps and get a high right foot. from there you can probably reach the top out jugs.

Location

This is on the left most side of the Satellite boulder, which is the first boulder you see on your right after hiking u the fire trail. It has an obvious overhang you can not miss.

Protection

none needed, Though you may see an old pin here or there. The walk down is safe also.

I would agree, if it werent for the fact that the only stuff climbed there were climbed on gear-as well as the guide saying many things (between v0-v8) went unsent due to height and landing zone issues. Especially in the area with the "Anvil" in the lz. Also this is not in a central location, It is a 45 minute up hill hike now that the fire road is private, located an hour outside of Harrisonburg, VA (not central imo). I am only claiming the FA because it was listed as unsent. Just thought I would add more routes to MP for second mountain since the area isn't listed well here! thanks for the info! Mar 1, 2016

It is very, very unlikely that this was unclimbed until 2016. In the early 2000s pretty much everything in those main areas at 2nd had been climbed, especially in such a central location. Feb 16, 2016
