Slapping da Bass

V2, Boulder, 10 ft (3 m),  Avg: 2.8 from 5 votes
FA: Dylan Alvarez, 2015
Massachusetts > S Shore, Cape,… > Martha's Vineyard > Great Rock

Description

Iron cross start around the slopey arete and move up through grippy slopers.

Surprisingly solid and grippy rock. Good warm-up on the open handed slopers.

Location

Take the main trail down to Great Rock Bight on the northwest side of Martha's Vineyard. Once at the beach, walk left towards the point, around the corner, to the large, stand-alone boulder on the beach. This problem is on the left, west-facing side. Keep an eye on the tides, low tide is recommended.

Protection

This has a soft landing on gravel. The only hard moves are at the base, so the fall is pretty safe.
