Description

A sit variation to Face Stand that adds some moves and quite a bit of pump. About 8 feet left of the arete, sit start at a nice angling rail. Reach up and right and match on the edge of a crystal dike. Continue right to the big undercling/sidepull so you can jab your foot way out to the big low starting hold of Arete Sit and work your way up to finish Face Stand or the flake variation just to the left.

Location

Starts as far left of the arete as practical, just right of the easiest climb down and moves right, into the big undercling/sidepull formation.

I did this the other day. I am sure it has been climbed before, maybe even by me a long time ago, but I don't remember it having a name. If anyone has a previous one, let me know. I thought it was a pretty good route. Thin feet in the transition towards the stand start ups the pump in spite of the good hand holds.

I am not sure of the grade. It seemed harder than the Arete Sit, but that one always seems easy for the grade for me. Dec 21, 2015
