This is an independent line between Hyjek's and Twin Oaks that can be done with a toprope from the tree on the ledge above Twin Oaks. The climb is enjoyable and does not seem to be published anywhere. While we're not sure if it has been climbed before, it seemed worth publishing as a "first ascent" even though someone might claim a previous ascent.

Starts just left of Twin Oaks. Go up and left on good face climbing. There is a small tree 30 feet up. pass on the right, continue trending left up to the ledge.

Protection opportunities seem adequate for a lead. We top roped it since we had a rope up anyway.

I think my wife Hatti Langsford and I previously toproped it a year or two ago as well. Dec 14, 2015

Everything there has been toproped many times over the years. If I took a beginner up, I would try everything I could think of just to stay amused. And I am, after all, a small, furry mammal Dec 15, 2015

Agreed - all the possible lines have surely been done many times. I have to say Ajax was particularly excited to have done something "new to him." we are easily amused these days. Dec 16, 2015
I can't speak for anyone else, but I've done that line regularly anytime I have a TR set up on the pine tree. Good fun, but you need to work hard to stay left of TO near the top.

One can also TR a line left of Fingerlocks at 5.9, maybe 9+. Crux is first few moves. Dec 22, 2015
