Start up Classy, but instead of traversing left under the roof with the wide crack, step right around the arête to a stance at a thin crack. Bust up and left (crux 1) to a jug, and then perform a difficult mantle (crux 2). A few easy moves gets you to the rap station above the first pitch of Pink Laurel.

Same as Classy.

Standard Gunks rack.

I did this recently as a result of the new Gunks App listing and a friend's recommendation.

Personally, I wasn't a big fan. It felt a bit contrived. You're on part of Classic and finish as for Pink Laurel. There's only a few new moves that are interesting - about a 10 ft. section. It's okay if you're in the area and looking for something new or harder, but I wouldn't seek this one out over many other routes of the same grade.

I found the mantle move to be beta intensive. If you miss something key it'll probably feel harder than the grade. Apr 21, 2016

Fun. Mantle not the only way, nor contrived. The route follows a natural line and does not require ‘artificial’ avoidance of other lines. Oct 31, 2018
