Description

A bouldery start that works its way up lower angle face features. After the crux the climbing eases up for a bit. The holds will start to get thin near the top but it's only a few moves away from the anchors.

Protection

7 bolts

Location

The next line of bolts to the left of Tarzan. If you follow the wall to the left from Tarzan you'll start to walk uphill a bit. As soon as you get to this section is where the route starts.

Was it determined if this is the route in Portland rock shown as Under the Yum Yum Tree?
Climbed basically this today, but with the start a little left, I think. Fun route, some precise feet and a few committing moves. Definitely enjoyed it! Sep 25, 2017

Terrific climb! The crux appeared to hit early on and requires some very precise footwork and balance which I lacked at the time. :)

This is another route which needs a good scrub and would benefit immensely from a proper belay spot. I will make sure to bring my Dyson next time I visit.

Kudos to the developer! May 30, 2016

Decent warm-up. Needs more traffic because its pretty dusty at the moment. The crux is super delicate and balancy and probably a bit height dependent. Mar 31, 2016

I'm a bit unclear exactly where Under the Yum Yum Tree went. I removed the very sketchy single bolt, which was on the blank looking wall to the right of the flake. Jason's new line goes to the left of the flake, which seems like the more natural line.

My understanding of that line is that it had been established with aid and had been toproped, but never completed on lead (which would have essentially been a solo). Dec 8, 2015

The route starts about 15 feet to the left of Tarzan. It does share the anchors with Tarzan / Gorilla Love Affair. There was an old chopped bolt near the top of the route but besides that no other bolts. I'll check the book out when I get home and see if it's talking about the same line. Dec 8, 2015

Where does this route start? Is it the line just left of Tarzan (12d)? In the Portland Rock Climbs book there's a line to the left of Tarzan called "Under the Yum Yum Tree" that was in need of some bolts. It shared an anchor with Gorilla Love Affair. Is this that same line? Dec 8, 2015
