Start at the right hand side of the partly crumbly cave, make a steep start, then continue more easily directly up, following the easiest line amongst the tufas. Crux start then much easier climbing above.

The route was named "Not Just a Shadow" due to it being the first climb at Macheni. Macheni was found when a shadow on a satellite image indicated there might be a cliff of sorts. Soon, we found Macheni was not just a shadow but is in fact a great place to climb.


About 5-10m to the right of The Bees Knees is a 1.5-2 meter high cave.
