Access Issue: Falcon Nesting Closure at Castle Rock Details

Castle Rock in Pine Canyon is closed for peregrine falcon nesting season, from February 1 through July 31st every year. All other Mount Diablo area crags are open to climbing. The news release is linked here parks.ca.gov/NewsRelease/493.

Description

"Sneaky Pouch" is located 40' right of "Lucy". It currently climbs a ramp to start, although a direct variation is possible on TR. The crux involves really good climbing through a small but tough overhang, on shallow pockets.

Location

Same approach as for Lucy, which faces south across a small ravine from Castle Rock. Start up the left side of Castle Rock ridge and then branch off to the left...
