Golden Eagle Closures in the Monument Area Feb-Aug Details

Start off by climbing in a short dihedral to the first bolt. Then climb the juggy overhanging flake to find yourself under the crimpy crux. The crux features 10 ft of 5/5 star climbing but the short nature of the climb takes away from the overall aesthetics of the climb. Definitely a worthwhile climb.

Furthest right route on Hank's wall. High first bolt with a close second bolt.

4 bolts. Anchors are pre-hung with steel carabiners.

I think 10b is fair with how much it's cleaned up and considering how hard Hanky Panky is for the 11b grade.. Jan 13, 2017

It says it's the furthest right route on the wall, but it's actually the second from the right, just to the left of Hanky Panky (11b). Nov 21, 2016

This route would get 4 stars if it were 30 or 40 feet taller. Definitely worth a tick if youre in the area. One of the best 10+/ 11- crux sections in the whole park. Dec 20, 2015
