Access Issue: While public climbing is still legally and enforceably prohibited at Sky Top, you may climb LEGALLY at Sky Top as a guided client, since 2007.
Details
If you want to legally climb at Sky Top, you have to be guided. Alpine Endeavors is contracted by the Mountain House to be the only guide service legally allowed to guide at Sky Top. This might seem completely unfair, but it's their sandbox - so, it's their rules. See mohonk.com/activities/overn… and mohonkmountainguides.com/ for more information.
Security patrols are in place to to prevent unauthorized access to the area. There will also be other methods used to confirm and prevent unauthorized access.
Regardless, this is a huge step in the uphill battle to win public climbing access back.

Description
Super Crack is phenomenal. It is overhanging ring-locks pretty much the whole climb, no good rests, a couple good shakes, and multiple cruxes along the way. Originally rated 5.13 and referred to as "Wunsch upon a climb", this thing keeps coming at you the whole time you are on it. Russ Clune free-soloed this route, which is a testimate to his boldness and mastery of his craft.
Location
Super crack is located on a free-standing pillar 150 feet right of the pinnacle of Suckcess.
If you decide to hike in using the trails that are scattered around the perimeter of Skytop, you want to get to Forest Drive -- specifically, the side closest to Garden Road. Once you're on Forest Drive, keep walking until you see a boulder that looks like the one pictured here. After you see this head directly up towards the cliff through the vegetated talus; you may notice a hint of a trail on the right side of the rock.
