Description

Crouch start on two undercling edges in the middle of the cave underneath the smoke stain. Traverse right on undercling crimps leading up to a big right handed deadpoint to a decent sloper/pinch. This is the first of three consecutive crux moves. Fall left handed into a sharp underling crimp (crux!?). Make a big move up right to a vertial pinch that is directly over your head. Match the vertical pinch and move right out to a good sloper on the lip. Match it and top out.

Every move is hard and this route requires a large amount of tension the entire time. It is short but tiring!

I am not 100% sure of the grade... Suggestions welcome.

Location

Line in purple. It starts sort of in the middle of the cave and tops out at the easiest point.

[Hide Comment] Bryce’s line is a pretty obvious extension to daily decrease. Starts the same and instead of cheating out and topping out early, you climb the length of the side of the cave and top out further up in the cave. Apr 23, 2020

[Hide Comment] Every bit as hard as Busted Shadow and some other lines that are rated harder. This thing is super stout Apr 19, 2023

[Hide Comment] Very fun movement, what I can do of it anyways. Any shorties out there have insights into climbing this thing? Talking 5'5" with a +2. I can about reach the first move, but I think right foot is likely going to peel off and make the middle section tough. Jun 2, 2025
