Access Issue: Seasonal Closure - 2018 Update Details

Description

This ascends an interesting corner about 15' left of Shimmer, with 3 bolts up high (plus a variation with 1 bolt). There is a distinct crux at the second bolt. It has fun stemming and interesting climbing.

Location

This is 15' left of Shimmer. At the roof/overlap, there is a also a left variation with a bolt on the overhung wall.

Protection

3 bolts, pro to 3", and a bolted anchor (independent anchor, not the Shimmer anchor which is shared with 2 other routes).

15 years ago Craig Weinhold and I went up to Blob Rock for some wintertime cragging, and I unfortunately had forgotten my climbing shoes. Not wanting to squander a perfect t-shirt weather winter day, we made the best of it. We climbed this and the other two unknown routes that day (amongst all the Shimmer/Simmer routes). It's a shame they have been bolted. Nov 8, 2015
