Description

The 1st route at Footsteps, a long scooped trough, very pocketed, on the side, up to a series of amazing holds and bulge, and then goes right to traverse where you see Chris finishing up.

There are not enough stars on Mountain Project to give to this route. I believe this route goes unrivaled as the best 5.10 on the Bigfoot Coast. The holds are fun, the position is unbelievable, and it has a surprising variety for being "another pocketed route." The 10 foot traverse at the finish is really the icing on the cake. There are new bolts that appear to be placed sometime within the last few years and are in perfect condition. Bring plenty of extendable draws or rope drag could be a problem. I extended most of my clips 18-24" and did not have any rope drag. Get on it! Feb 19, 2017
