Clay Pigeons

V7+, Boulder, 15 ft (5 m),  Avg: 3.8 from 4 votes
FA: Chris Meacham
Colorado > S Platte > Wigwam Creek/Lo… > Cro Magnon > Clay Pigeons Boulder

Description

This is a great line -- located on an obvious roof as you follow the boulders at the base of the cliffband.

Start on a lefthand crimp and right hand sloper, and head into a matched undercling & out the roof.

Location

This is near Laundry Day on the same boulder. From parking/campsite, walk towards the Cro Magnum headwall, and stay at the base. Just past the tall, bolted boulder at the base, you'll find a triangular roof with both climbs.

[Hide Comment] Boulder problem starts on left crimp and right sloper. Climb 15' out the roof (it finishes on left side of boulder). This is a must do/try in the area. Great rock and roof climb. Sep 23, 2015

[Hide Comment] BIG left crimp. Sep 23, 2015
[Hide Comment] I’m a bit confused on the start - is the left hand the skinny slot above the sloping right hold or the undercling one right below it, or something else? They both feel impossible to move off of.... Either way though amazing problem from the matched undercling! Maybe a V5 from there and fantastic moves. Nov 21, 2020
