Description

Several high steps on Swift Spire's blocky NE shoulder gets you to a tip toe traverse to climbers right. Here you find the anchor on the opposite shoulder of this little spire. Gear is placed from good stances.

Location

Head down the fixed line from the edge but just to the last "U" bolt. Here you leave the rope and head across the talus SW a short distance to a small rise. Take the easy line down and SW before cutting back to the wall and the obvious spire. Edge to spire about 3 min.s

Protection

Passive = A set of small to medium nuts.
Active = A BD .3 through a #2 X 1.
Anchor = Two bolts and chains.
Check out the FA rack photo.

This thing is a decent ramble to the top of a cool mini-tower, which is what earns it another star...not many summits that relinquish so easily. Aug 25, 2015
