Description

Pitch 1: Travels up and slightly left for 55 meter pitch, 21 bolts.

Pitch 2: Nine bolts to a large tree.

Please note you cannot lower off the first pitch because it is a full rope length, and watch out for rock fall.

Location

This route is located immediately to the right of Trench Warfare gulley.

At top, rappel from Trench Warfare route. I made the mistake of rappelling down to the right and I do not recommend doing so.

Protection

Generously bolted. First pitch has bolted anchors. Second pitch you will use a large tree for an anchor.

Lots and lots of bolts. I accidentally skipped a few because they were so close together that i wasn't looking for them. Not complaining though, I love this standard. Climbing was easy and if not for the sustained nature would say this was only a .7. Anchor bolts were in good shape. used a combo of QD's and alpines to reduce rope drag

linked this up with gingerbread shortcut. couldn't sac up enough for Salathe Highway (and didn't have the beta about the pro- looked like a free solo from the belay ledge). this was my only regret about coming out here but will def be on the list next summer.

FYI - this route is called lava Flow in written description in book but lava tube in the photo
