Current San Diego County Advisories Details

Description

Slightly overhanging fists/off-fists, bring your burlsauce

Could lead it with 4-5" pieces. Backside is a 5.7 big fist crack that you can climb to set a TR on this thing. Crack takes 5 inch cams for an anchor if the couple TR-only bolts go missing. Downclimb the 5.7 to get off the boulder.

Location

Just southeast of the big egg boulder

Protection

Cams, braj

couple bolts on top for anchor

True. True. I was at the scene of a savage accident that involved getting off this Boulder so I thought I'd weigh in. it's such a great line. I'd hate for anyone else to get hurt attempting to TR the route. Folks that might be seeking at 10+ TR might also suck at bouldering/ down climbing 5.7-5.8 OW. Mar 2, 2017

As of April last year there were two good bolts up top. I'd say that mellow 5.7 fist crack to set up a TR is a bit of sandbag unless you have Gorgon mits like uncle Burch. Also the anchors are not set up for a rap so plan on downclimbing that thing to get down. Feb 22, 2017
