Firing Up Bob

Washington > Central-W Casca… > N Bend & Vicinity > Exit 38 > Mt Washington > Bob's Area > Lost Resort

Description

Low Crux. Fun jug pulling throughout. The initial crux's potency can be tempered by moving more to the left, where large side pulls abound.

Location

Right side of Lost Resort, just right of a tree on a prow, with a large downed tree at the base.

From the base this route and the one to the left look super overgrown. Not so, they are only marginally green, but the important grips are still mostly exposed rock.

Protection

bolts

A few bigger moves on large holds at the bottom gain a bulge before the character changes to more technical stemming and then slab at the very top. Aug 22, 2016

[Hide Comment] Fun climb but soggy in May. Stick clipped for safety as we weren't sure how wet it would be. Not too burly intro boulder moves - just feel around blindly to find them on the left before moving up. Since the holds on the bottom are large it's actually okay when it's wet. Fun stemming in the middle. Mossy at the top especially after last bolt. The moss was super wet but there are tiny ledges to use. I veered left after the last bolt to work around the mossy part because of the wetness. Wet rock definitely adds to the challenge. Jul 26, 2021

[Hide Comment] I've done a lot of the 5.10s in the snoqualmie valley and this is 100% the best one. Oct 4, 2022
