Description

Traverse the right arete of the Gypsy Face to the top, then mantle over. Start seated at a horizontal edge that will be at (seated) eye level.

NOTE: In the guide book this problem is listed as yellow difficulty, meaning most likely in the V6-V8 range, possibly plus or minus a grade. On 150503, however, I ripped off a 1/4 pad crimp/pinch that I was trying to use to get through the crux. It left behind a very good 3/4 pad crimp and now the climb feels no harder than V5.

Out of curiosity, which hold on this climb broke? Was it the crimp on the face below the arete? Oct 5, 2017
