Description

A short crux at the second bolt leads to fun climbing and some questionable rock before finishing through an exciting, slightly overhanging left-facing dihedral. After the first ascent a rusty, old nut tool was found at the base. It didn't turn out to be Karp's, but the name stuck.

Location

30 yards left of Simple Math

Protection

[Hide Comment] Love this route! Favorite in Missouri, awesome rock, and great interesting long route. I only disagree that the crux is actually at the fourth bolt, just after you clip. Apr 30, 2016
[Hide Comment] Probably the best view from the top of all the routes here. Fun moves for a long climb. Easy finish after the crux by just pulling on about 12 different jugs. Nov 11, 2019

[Hide Comment] Such a stellar route. It's a weekly climb for me and gets better with each ascent. Crux is definitely after the fourth bolt in the crimp succession directly under the 5th bolt. Anytime I have friends new to the area, I throw them on this ASAP. You might be lucky enough to witness a Karpowicz send or two. Top tier Missouri climbing, and is probably the best 10a in the state.
