Keeping climbs open depends on maintaining good relationships with locals and monks Details
This climbing area is intertwined with monasteries and pagodas. It is critical for climbing in Myanmar to maintain these relationships through respectful conduct with the monks and the surrounding areas. Please be modest, respectful, friendly, and responsive to the wishes of the monks and local people. Do not climb on religious monuments, and remove shoes when crossing over established pagoda areas.
DescriptionA route that has cleaned up recently. Climb a vertical face to a bulge where you pull on a detached jug. It looks like it might fall off someday, but I hammered on it pretty hard and it didn't budge. After the bulge, climb some techy features until you get to the blank face at the top (crux). Climb through the face and clip the last bolt then traverse a meter to the left and clean the route of of the anchors for Lava Smoothy.
